Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quoting system needs gender, birth date, health status (in plain language), tobacco use status, coverage amount, and term—those six pieces of information are sufficient to retrieve carrier rates. Your personal name, mailing address, and detailed health information are only requested if you choose to move forward with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They represent each carrier's quoted cost for the health classification you selected. After underwriting, the carrier determines the actual premium, which may stay the same, improve, or shift to a different classification. Nothing presented here constitutes an insurance offer or a guarantee about what you will ultimately pay.

What happens when I click Apply?

You enter your name, the application is assembled using the exact quote you selected, then transitions to a secure platform managed by the carriers. You can stop at any point and resume whenever you're ready; all your signatures are handled electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages your application throughout the process.

Will I need a medical exam?

The answer depends on which carrier you choose, the coverage amount you're requesting, and the information you provide. Some carriers offer rapid underwriting that can approve qualified candidates immediately; others may require an exam. Your quote listing indicates whether testing is mandatory, possible, or not anticipated for each option.

Is a longer term better?

A term duration should be selected to cover the period when your family would suffer financial hardship from your death—think mortgage payments, dependent children, or business debts. Longer durations carry higher monthly costs but guarantee the same rate for more years. The quoting tool enables you to evaluate what 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options cost side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quoting process does not request identifying information, we do not buy or sell personal information, and our tracking system doesn't use cookies. For a complete accounting of what data is collected and who has access to it, review our privacy policy.
